"Praise the LORD, Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts."  Psalm 148: 1-2

Our LORD is a gracious LORD.   Yestarday (Saturday) we were able to witness the marriage of Scott and Michelle.  It was a beautiful day full of thanks and praise.

Nathan had a quiet day, yestarday as well as last night.

This morning (Sunday) they had to cauterize some bleeding on his right arm, but when I left they felt pretty confident they had stopped all the bleeding.  Nate has required a few further transfusions, but this is too be expected.  Nate is also still on antibiotics (3 different kinds) as well as blood pressure medication because his blood pressure is too high.  They have lowered Nates sedation, but have increased his pain medication.  This morning he had his eyes opened and was responding to me with his eyes. (he is still very medicated though) His dialysis machine was stopped later this morning, and will hopfully be started on intermittent dialysis tomorrow.
I must go to church now, I will attempt to blog again at a later date
Please continue to pray for Nate, myself, our children, the doctors and nurses.
Our God is a gracious God.

  1. We are continually praying for you as you go through this "roller coaster". God is good, and has given each of us so much to be thankful for. Aileen and Nathan, Gus and I are thinking of you continually and pray that all will go well. As we heard in Lincoln this morning, no matter what struggles and uncertainties we go through in this life, we can be assured that we can have certainty through Him.
Take care, and congratulations to you and your family with Scott and Michelle's wedding as well as your and Nathan' anniversary.
    Hugs!

Glad to hear that you could go to church today! It is so good to feel the communion of saints in your own church on Sunday!
Thanks for continuing to blog. It must be hard to do. We check it regularly, though you'd 'never know', since this is our first 'official' comment and we aren't on the 'following' list.
Your situation was in the Kerwood bulletin this week, as your situation is unique, humbling for us all and you are our siblings in the blood of Christ.
    Continuing to pray for you,
Chris and Joanna deBoer and Peter

  9. We lift you up in prayer before an all powerful God; may He sustain you all in this difficult time and provide healing for Nate's body. Be assured of His faithful promises for you and take comfort with the words of Lord's Day 1. It is so good to know Nate is in our Father's care. When you can't see the good in things, go on in faith.
