"He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young" Isaiah 40: 11
Once again the LORD sustained Nathan's life through the night. Nate required a lot of blood last night again as well as increased sedation.
We are awaiting doctors to assess Nate's limbs and other incision sites.
Please continue to pray for Nate, that the LORD may continue to sustain him.
Please pray for myself and our children - Taryn and Aiden. We are all struggling and need your prayers to lift us and help us.
Please also donate blood, as of 5:30 this morning Nate has required enough blood for 5 grown men. Please donate!
Continuing to pray for peace and strength for all of you.

I wish I could donate blood Aileen. I have O-negative blood and I use to get calls from Red Cross frequently. Unfortunately my iron levels became too low for their standards since my first pregnancy and still now today.
ReplyDeleteIf there is any other way we can help, just say the word.
As impossible as this seems right now, you need as much rest as possible to keep up with all that's happening. You need it both physically, mentally and emotionally. The constant waiting for any change or doctors or tests or reports is not only what keeps you going but also what wears you down. I hope this doesn't sound callous; its being said out of love and concern for you all and unfortunately from experience.

Nathan, Aileen and children,
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you all constantly and hope to see the Lord's hand guiding all of you from day to day. May he give you strength and peace. We know all too well what the days are like in the hospital and hope you are surrounded by many family and friends. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help or accept it. It is all others feel that they can do to help.
Hugs and prayers,

Just reading all the different wishes of support is awe inspiring not only that you have so much support from the community but also that there is so much comfort in God,s word. While we will never know why God puts these trials in front of us just know that with out our God's will not a hair can fall from our head. We are praying along with everyone for you and your families. "Cast your burdens upon the Lord and He will sustain you and he will never allow the righteous to be shaken" Ps. 55:22

We hold your needs and concerns before our Heavenly Father constantly. We pray that God may work His miracles through Nate.
ReplyDeleteWe know what it is like to spend days in the hospital, not knowing how the future will turn out. Hold fast to the Lord who will never let you go, and who thankfully holds the future in His hands. Accept the help and offers of others, for it may be through them that the Lord sustains you and teaches them. God's plan for us is much greater than we can imagine!
Love and hugs,
John and Rieta Pierotti

ReplyDeleteNo ocean can hold it back
No river can overtake it.
No whirlwind can defeat it.
No law can stop it.
No distance can slow it.
No disease can cripple it.
No force on earth is more powerful or effective
THAN THE POWER OF PRAYER.
May the prayers of all His saints being brought up to the throne of our Heavenly Father for your family be a source of comfort and strength to you in these difficult days!!

man is helpless....
it is only GOD

that calms the sea,
still the wind,
and ease the pain....
so lean on HIM
and you will never walk alone.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
ReplyDeleteWhen the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
Nathan, Aileen and families.
ReplyDeletePraying for you continually, lifting your needs to our Father above, may He give you all that you are in need of and grant healing to Nathan, comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.

We pray that God will allow healing to take place, as we realize that He is the master physician. Our lives, our health are all in his domain. May you know that Nathans life is in God’s hand! May the words and promises of Lord’s Day 1 encourage you and the extended family. We also read in Isaiah 49:13 - 16, “For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones…….. See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” We continue to lay Nathan and the extended family before the throne of our Lord in prayer.
